Harvest End is held on the Sunday nearest the autumnal equinox. The equinox is the full moon closest to September 23rd.


As the festival is a harvest, it features the crops that have been collected. The village square would be decorate with fruit and foods, while the lord was traditionally given a loaf of bread from the newly harvested wheat. Another name for the day was Lammas, loaf day.
