Hunting Parties[]
Only some of a clan's hunters would go out hunting at one time. A large portion of them were always around the camp. They were likely working on tools or hunting weapons.
Protection[]
A group of women concerned about gathering food and watching their children presented an attractive target to any predators. The presence of humans with weapons, whether while aiding in the collection of food or not, would have provided a security for the mothers and children of the clan.
