A Holiday Edit

As easily marked events, equinoxes and solstices were the universal holidays of the prehistoric world. They were a time of gathering, when trading, ideas, and marriages took place.

Placement Edit

The solstices occurred on the longest and shortest days of the year, what became known as the midwinter and midsummer holidays. The equinoxes were at the midpoint between these holidays, one in the spring and the other in the autumn.
