Childhood[]
Son of a well-to-do family, David was sent for education at Llancarfan under Illtud. One of many exceptional students, David was one of the great teacher's last.
Adulthood[]
David enforced a strict rule, limiting himself to bread and water. When Uinniau was asked to choose a new archbishop among the British in 565, he was not chosen because Uinniau believed his leadership would cause issues among the other ecclesiastics.
Personality[]
David was extremely devoted to his duties as an ecclesiastic. Bread and water was only one aspect of a severely disciplined life. His choice of how he lived, however, was not the product of a lesser mind. Very few people on the island were as intelligent as him.
