Childhood
As the son of a poor family, Caglo felt blessed to have been accepted into the Strat Clut monastery under the auspices of Kentigern. Learning from him only strengthened that opinion.
In 554, King Morgan of Lleuddinyawn invaded Strat Clut and he was happy to sacrifice himself so that his illustrious bishop and teacher could escape.
Adulthood
He somehow survived the invasion and became a monk. He was still active in 596 when Kentigern returned. At that point he returned to the church and was eventually appointed the successor.
Personality
Not the most intelligent of men but a loyal person and a hard worker, he commanded the respect and admiration of those around him for his integrity and his faith. Caglo would have been content to live out the rest of his days as a monk.
