Belatacudros was a god of death.
Though no extant records remain, his clear association with Cernunnos would suggest that he was probably symbolized by the crow or raven as the latter god was connected to the stag.
As the god of death, he would have been the giver of life and thus the vehicle by which Cernunnos died and was reborn.
Belatacudros was connected with the cauldron as well. He appears in every grail legend. He is Pelles the grail king and Pellinore, one of Arthur's most trusted knights. He also appears in Welsh legend as Beli, the founder of several Welsh royal houses.
