Childhood[]
Bachan spent much of his childhood on the continent where he was educated as an ecclesiastic. There he became qualified as a rhetor and escaped the general confusion of the Ostrogoths by heading to Britain.
Career[]
Bachan established himself in southeastern Wales where he educated Cadoc. He fell into disfavor on the death of Gwynlliw and returned to the continent.
Personality[]
Bachan hoped that an advanced education would be his ticket to a comfortable life, even in the trying times of the early sixth century. He was wrong, and when he realized he could not escape the political turmoil he made his way to the continent.
